Brown Eyed Girl

Hey Guys! Being as pale as I am I find that black can look really heavy and harsh against my skin tone so I opt for brown mascara. It's actually quite tricky to find good, brown mascaras, so I decided to share the ones I have found so far with ye.

 

Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara

Seventeen have lots of brown mascaras, and I have loved all the ones that I have tried. This mascara is an all rounder, volume, length and some definition. The shade is perfect, dark enough to stand out against the eyes but the brown shade isn't too dark so it definitely is much subtler than black.

No7 Extreme Length Mascara 

This mascara does exactly what it says on the tin. It adds loads of length and a slight bit of volume but nothing crazy. It's a great mascara to use on its own or to layer for a super dramatic look. If you look for a lengthening mascara, this is the one for you, it adds a small bit of volume, slight definition and loads of length. 

Benefit They're Real Mascara

This is the newest addition to my mascara collection. I was thrilled when I found out that Benefit were releasing a brown mascara (although I think it is limited edition). I have always used drugstore mascaras so I decided that I didn't want to splash out on a high end mascara but my friend kindly bought it for me when she was on holiday. This mascara is fab for extreme volume and adds a small bit of length. I love using this for when I want a dramatic look. 

Seventeen Waterproof Mascara

This is definitely the most natural brown mascara out there. It coats the lashes and adds some slight definition but nothing major. I love this for natural days or I will layer it over other mascaras so they will last longer. I always have this in my collection for my lower lashes as it doesn't smudge and adds some slight definition. 

Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara

Although I wouldn't wear this mascara on its own, it's a great one for layering. It adds so much length to my lashes but I do layer something else over the top to add some volume. It's quite a dark brown so if you want something that looks black on the lashes but wouldn't be as harsh, this is the mascara for you. Other than that it is a great layering mascara but I wouldn't recommend it to use on its own.
