As always being the indecisive person I am I couldn't decide on a post for today so of course I took to Twitter and used their polls. One of the choice was to see my daily college hair makeup and outfit and that won by miles so I guess that is what I'll share with ye today.
I think this goes without saying but I don't look like this everyday. Someday I'll put more effort in and put on more makeup if I'm shooting with Sadhbh that day and another day I'll have no makeup on with my hair on top of my head and I'll be wearing a hoodie. What I'm showing you today is a usual college look if I want to put on some makeup that morning.
So I started off by creating a flawless base. I used a moisturising pore diminishing primer and applied it all over my skin. I then went in with a light dewy foundation to even out my skin tone. After that I used a cream concealer that has fairly good coverage and put this under my eyes and on any imperfections. I then used a translucent pressed powder to set my concealer in place.
Now that my base is complete I went in with a light bronzer and a rosy toned blush to add some colour back into my face. I used a big fluffy brush to add the bronzer around the perimeter of my face and then I added the blush to the apples of my cheeks and brought it up towards my temples.
Personally I think brows completely transform your face so I can't skip filling mine it at all! I start off by using my holy grail brow pomade. I use this to add some colour through the mid part of my brows, however I don't fill in my whole eyebrows with this because that would be way too intense. Because I only used the pomade in the middle, I go in with a lighter pencil in the front and end of my brows. To finish everything off I used a brow gel to set everything into place. I know that seems very high maintenance and I know it is but that's what I like to do, but you could just pick one step to do to keep things easier.
It's time to add some finishing touches so I started by curling my lashes. This is going to be a little controversial but I don't add mascara just because I don't find it comfortable to wear all day and my eyes get really watery in the morning so it really ends up under my eyes so I do give it a skip for my everyday makeup that I'm wearing all day in college.
I then apply some nudey pink lipstick to my lips to bring the look together and then set everything into place with a setting spray. Make sure you shake the bottle of setting spray before you apply it because this mixes the powder into the liquid and then you won't get white specks all over your face.
And there we have it! A natural everyday makeup look that lasts all day and is comfortable to wear but emphasises your natural features.

Now onto hair, so usually I leave it all down or do a ponytail or messy bun but sometimes I like to do this half up half down sorta thing. It's quick and easy to do but it also gets my hair out of my face which is fab. I started off by spritzing some sea salt spray into my hair.
I then took my fingers through my hair to the back of my head to create section at the top of my head. I took a medium sized crocodile clip to secure this into place. I loosened the section with my fingers and pulled out some hair to frame my face.
And there we have it. The makeup and hair I do when I'm going to college and want to look somewhat put together.
There are no rules when it comes to college fashion which I love. You could wear a dress and heels or a head to toe tracksuit and no on would bat an eyelid. I'm personally not a tracksuit fan so I tend to go for a look that's a little dressier than that. I'm a huge fan of highwaisted jeans or t-shirt dresses to create an effortless, slightly dressy vibe.
I paired this grey turtleneck t-shirt dress with some basic tights and flat black boots that are very comfortable as you tend to do a lot of walking around college. I then went with an oversized camel coat and my favourite blanket scarf (these are great if you want to snuggle up and go to sleep in a lecture). To finish everything off I went with my usual jewellery, a gold bracelet and an oversized watch.
