Gourmet Burger Kitchen

I have always been so jealous of the bloggers and vloggers I follow going to GBK in the UK so when they came to Dublin I was so delighted. So of course when I was in Dublin a fortnight ago with Sadhbh we had to go there for lunch.

I'm a burger-aholic, if thats thats even a word. Every restaurant I go to 9 times out of 10 I order a burger, so you can say I am a burger connoisseur at this stage. But the burger I had at GBK was hands down the best burger I have had so far. That sounds a bit dramatic but I did warn ye I love burgers!

The decor is like a blogger paradise with marble tables and metal accents. of course we sat by the window at a marble table because what else would you expect us to do? 

Onto the food itself, the menu was fab. There was so many different types of fires, burgers, sauces, you name it. There were so many things that I want to go back and try like their milkshakes and their elderflower fizz which seems much more interesting than your usual soft drinks. 

I went for the classic cheese burger and added bacon (surprise surprise what else would I order) and we shared a portion of rosemary fries. The burger was incredible, the brioche bun was amazing, and there was homemade relish in there too. It was the best burger I've had in my life so far. 

The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the rosemary fries. The fries themselves were gorgeous and crispy but I didn't love the rosemary flavour as it was very strong. So the next time I visit I'll definitely go for a different type of fries. 

Everything was really reasonable priced which is great for a student as a treat for lunch or dinner. I 100% will be visiting GBK. I'm definitely hoping they'll come to Cork soon!
