We all know about the amazing high street makeup products but there are definitely some hidden gems in Boots that don't get as much recognition as the rest. That is why today I'm going to talk about the products that I think are drugstore heroes.
Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter
This reminds me of the Becca Backklit Priming Filter but so much more affordable! As it suggests in the name you can use this cream in three ways, as a highlighter, a primer or a illuminater to mix in with your foundation. It has a very soft sheen which creates a gorgeous dewy look on the skin. When used as a highlight it has a slight wet look to it which is just stunning, especially for the spring and summer. It is quite a neutral shade which makes it easy to use for every skin tone. It's such a shame that this product never seems to be raved about because it is so affordable yet so incredible.
Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette
After watching other bloggers and vloggers rave about the Anastasia and Kat Von D contour palettes I was so tempted to try one. In December I was in London and stumbled across this palette in Superdrug. The three matte bronzer/contour shades are all a small bit cool toned which is perfect for contouring. There are then two matte highlight shades, one pink toned and the other yellow, which is so great to use to set concealer under your eyes. The other two highlights have a bit of a sheen to them which is gorgeous to highlight your cheekbones with. The only shade I don't tend to use is the brozey highlight shade which is just too dark for my skin tone. I love using this palette on both my eyes and fave as the powders are buildable and very creamy and easy to blend. If you are able to get your hands on this palette I highly suggest you do as I absolutely love it and haven't heard anyone else talking about it.
Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel - Blondy Brows & Browny Brows
The names are incredibly original! Even just looking at these you can tell that they are a Benefit Gimme Brow dupe. They come in two shades with tiny applicators which are perfect to achieve a defined brow look. Unlike other drugstore brow gels which are just tinted, these have tiny little fibres in them to create fuller brows. Although I am unfortunately in between the two shades I didn't break the bank when I picked up both colours. I simply layer the two on my brows to get my perfect colour. Once again I have not heard anyone rave about these incredible eyebrow gels and I highly recommend picking them up to try.
Maxfactor Excess Shimmer - Copper & Bronze
A couple of years ago when these cream shadow were released there was a bit of hype but that didn't last long. Now no one seems to be using these or even trying them which I think is insane! These highly pigmented shimmery shadows have an almost whipped texture which makes them really creamy and easy to apply. Once they are applied they don't budge at all, which you would not expect from a shadow so creamy. I have the shade 'Copper' which is definitely not copper! It is a neutral beige that is perfect to add over other shadows or to sweep this over the lid for a natural everyday look. The other shade I have tried is 'Bronze' which I think is similar to a Charlotte Tilbury cream shadow. It is stunning used all over the lid or even used as liner. These shadows last for ages, are easy to blend and come in a range of fabulous colours.
Revlon Lip Butter - Juicy Papaya & Creme Brûlée
Once again these lip products were talked about when they were first released and were incredibly popular within the American beauty community. If you love a sheer lipstick but something more pigmented than a balm you definitely need to try these. Although you might think they would just add a wash of colour to the lips they definitely pack a punch and are easily buildable. The first colour I tried was a gorgeous peachy pink which I adore and still love to this day. The second shade I got for Christmas and it is a neutral nude which is perfect paid with a note dramatic eye. I think these are not talked about anymore because the matte lip is definitely more popular at the moment. If you are like me and prefer to stray away from the very drying matte lipstick I would highly recommend you try these out.

I love love love the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer! It's so cool to read your posts because we don't have a lot of those brands over here in Canada. I may have to put in an online order to try some stuff out! :)
