Current Favourites

Hey guys! Today I want to share my current favourite beauty products with you. I used always do a favourites post every month but it got quite repetitive and I stopped. I decided to do this post to keep you in the loop of what products I'm using and loving at the moment. There is a mixture of skincare, makeup and nail polish, so let's get started!

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser - Normal/Combination
After finishing my L'occitaine moisturiser I decided to try something else as it is quite expensive. The lovely lady at the Liz Earle counter in Boots helped me out and gave me a little sample of this moisturiser to try and I had to go back and purchase the full size. It moisturises my skin well but isn't too heavy, which is my main problem with most moisturisers. It is perfect for morning and night and it really soothes my skin after I remove my makeup. It has quite a slippery texture which helps it blend into the skin. After it sinks into my skin it leaves me with moisturised smooth skin that isn't sticky or tacky.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer - Fair Neutral
I was on the hunt for a new concealer as I found the infamous Collection concealer covered, but creased under my eyes. As the name suggests it is a weightless concealer but it has a really good coverage. It doesn't crease under my eyes but still covers all of my imperfections really well. There is a great shade range, it is easily blended and I have really been loving it recently.

Nyx Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade - Chocolate
A couple of months back I saw this pomade o the Nyx display and I was searching for my colour for ages! Once they finally had it back in stock I grabbed it as I had never seen any brow gel in this form in the Drugstore. The shade I have is a slightly warm toned brown, which is a perfect match for my auburn hair. This product is very quick and easy to apply, it is easily built up or if you apply less product it also creates a beautiful natural brow. I would highly recommend this as it is cheap and cheerful although I find Nyx counters to be very badly stocked so if you can find your colour, grab it quick. I'm still on the hunt for the taupe blush and I haven't found it in months, so if you find it anywhere please let me know!

Maybeline Lash Sensational Mascara - Brown
This is one hyped up product, but it is worth all the hype! It is supposed to be very similar to the Benefit Roller Lash. Its curved bush curls the lashes while coating every lash. It is really easy to apply, stays on all day and is easily built up. My brother picked this up in America for me last summer (as it is so difficult to find brown mascara here) but as I was searching on the Irish Boots website I found this mascara in brown! I'm so delighted because I can now repurchase it here. I would definitely give this a go if you haven't tried it yet.

Mac X Ellie Goulding Cremesheen Lipstick - Without Your Love
In January I purchased my first Mac lipstick. My brother is a huge Ellie Goulding fan so I had to pick up something from her Mac collection. Unfortunately the collection was limited edition but I am sure you could find a similar colour to this in Mac. This is a gorgeous peachy nude colour with a hint of pink. It adds a lovely sheen to the lips and its so comfortable to wear. Even though I couldn't pick this up in Cork (they only sold the collection in Dublin) I am so glad I picked it up. I am so tempted to buy another Mac lipstick, they are definitely worth the hype.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint - Lap Of Honour
I absolutely adore Barry M nail polishes. They are really affordable but are a great formula and there is a huge range of colours. This muted lilac shade is perfect for this time of year. It is creamy, easy to apply and is quick drying, which is the best! I always pick up these polishes when they are offer which makes them as cheap as chips. If you haven't checked out this range, or the Gelly Hi Shine's from Barry M I would highly recommend that you do. They are such great formulas, come in amazing colours and are really affordable.

Essie Nail Polish - Buy Me A Cameo
I was (and still am) on the hunt for the perfect copper polish. I decided to give this one a go as I thought is was a gorgeous colour, even though it is more rose gold than copper. This is actually the first Essie polish I purchased myself (a lot of firsts today in this post!). They are a gorgeous formula, have a great shade range and the packaging is just stunning! I do think they are quite expensive for polishes just because I adore the Barry M ones so much, but I do love this one and am definitely going to buy more in the future. I would definitely recommend checking out Essie polishes if you are looking to treat yourself. If you have any copper nail polish recommendations please let me know!

  1. Nice post! I have heard so much about NYX Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade and I am definitely going to try it when my brow powder runs out. I have been loving Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette, I got it for my birthday and I love it, mostly because it smells of chocolate.
