Glitz & Glamour

The minute I laid my eyes on this dress I fell in love with it. I knew straight away that it would be perfect for the party season. As my birthday is the end of December it means that the holiday season means a lot of celebrating, dressing up, and partying. This dress is so amazing for experimenting with different styles and of course I had to do a blogpost on me styling it, what else would you expect from me?!

Because the top of the dress is very low I tied a knot on each of the straps, a bit of DIY always helps when it comes to Penneys garments. Low cut tops really don't suit me so I fixed that by simply layering a cream polo neck under the dress, which I think adds a little extra bit of fashionista to the outfit and makes it seem like I'm fashionable.
As this dress is such a statement I paired everything with my usual chunky black heels and a simple black clutch. I then kept the jewellery quite simple as well by adding my usual watch and some gold rings to tie everything together.
As this outfit is very New Years Eve inspired I had to include glitter in my makeup look and of course, it's Christmas I had to wear a red lip. I kept my hair the way I usually have it, just down and curly to make sure I still looked like me as I think that is always important when I'm dressed up.
Photography by the wonderful Sadhbh. We shot this after finishing out first semester before we finished our exams and of course we had to shoot in the gorgeous Quad in UCC.
