During the weekend myself and my friends went to a restaurant that I have always wanted to try. I haven't heard a lot about this place at all but stumbled across it on someone's Instagram. The restaurant we went to was Ristorante Rossini on Princes Street in Cork.
We went on Saturday evening and the place was crazy busy! So definitely make a reservation, they do online reservations which is fab because I know I'm not the only one who hates talking on the phone! The service there was amazing, there was always a waiter around if we needed anything, they came to take our order very soon after we sat down and the food arrived quickly.
We all got pizza so I can't really tell you about anything else on the menu. The pizza was one of the most Italian I have had outside of Italy. The base was thin but not too crispy. They were also a really good size at a reasonable price and there were takeaway boxes available if you wanted to take some leftovers home. We also got a portion of sweet potato fries to share and they were amazing. They were the right amount of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and they had the right balance between sweet and salty.
The restaurant itself was very old school and traditional which I loved. We were sat in the window seat so I didn't see too much of the rest of the restaurant but I did gather that there were more intimate, secluded tables towards the front, and towards the back there were more tables grouped closer together.
I would definitely reccomend checking out this place if haven't been there before, I will definitely be going back soon. The one thing I would say is to make a reservation, especially if you're going for dinner because it can be quite busy and you may have to wait for a table otherwise.
Are there any other restaurants in Cork I should try out?
