I think most of us are guilty of living in skinny jeans and not experimenting much when it comes to the bottom halves of our outfits. I am definitely one of those people who will live in jeans and if I'm adventurous I'll wear a skirt and tights. And that's pretty much what my weekly outfits consist of!
When it comes to going out I would be more inclined to wear something different on my bottom half but I stick to the old reliables for day to day wear. So I decided to experiment a bit and wear a pair of culottes during the day. I adore this pair from Zara and have worn them going out many times but styling them for the day time was definitely a challenge.
Because I always wear these pants with a black top I decided to add a bit of colour with a khaki silk top. It's still a fairly neutral colour so its not as terrifying as a bright colour! I then threw on my white Converse that are definitely not white at this stage! I find that they're so handy and easy to throw on with almost every outfit and they make the culottes more casual.
For warmth I did wear my big wool coat and scarf on top of this outfit because it's Ireland after all. I actually wore a pair of 3/4 length leggings under the culottes just so I wouldn't be absolutely frozen during the day. Layering under pieces is definitely a great tip if you want to try out different styles of clothes that are not Irish weather appropriate.
I actually wore this outfit to Dublin on Wednesday which was a very spontaneous trip with Sadhbh. We went to a skincare event, had an amazing lunch (blogpost coming soon) and just strolled around Dublin. I adore the city and definitely want to go on more adventures there, especially since almost all of the bloggers I follow and chat to are from Dublin.
