The Comfy Culottes

Hey guys! I hope everyone is surviving assignment season but we'll try and forget about all the work we have to do for a while on a Friday night. Today I don't really know what I'm going to chat about, just my week really and share this outfit with ye too. 

This week has been a mad one, I've been in college until late every day with three labs, society stuff, blog events, and assignments. So to say I'm tired is an understatement and I certainly don't think I'm the only one. Now is the time when the fear of exams starts kicking in for college students but I think it's so important to still take time for yourself and make sure you're happy, well as happy as you can be when the workload is pretty heavy at the moment. 

My study breaks this week consisted of a lot of blog things which I am definitely not complaining about! Monday was spent shooting with Clóda around town and of course we had to grab a hot chocolate before we headed back to the library. Tuesday evening was a busy one with a masterclass in Lancome in Brown Thomas and then back to college for a fashion society event. When things like this happen I feel so incredibly lucky and think I must be doing something right. 

I would like to think that I have a good enough balance of college, blog, social life, and college societies but no one really does and some weeks you'll spend too much time on one thing and not another but once you get your work done and are happy that's the main thing. Writing this is more of reminder for myself that it's ok to meet your friend for coffee instead of doing an assignment all day because happiness is everything, especially this time of year when things are getting tough. 

Now for a quick outfit chat, I'm the type of person who would live in jeans 24/7 if I could but I'm trying to make a conscious effort not to wear them everyday to college. Skirts and dresses are great but when I'm in college for a long day the last thing I want to do is be wearing tights (anyone else find them so uncomfortable?!) so a pair of culottes is another thing to wear that's comfortable and not jeans. 

These ones are from Boohoo and were so affordable with a fab elasticated waist and they have a really nice shape to the legs that you can find here. I'm so incredibly tempted to pick up another pair in a different colour because they are so comfortable! Only thing I will say about them is that because they are flowy I always tend to get cold when wearing them so I wear a pair of shorter leggings underneath them so I'm sorted. 

I've started stocking up on knitwear for the winter and picked up this jumper in Penneys for only €12 and it's the softest thing in the world. It has a slightly higher neck and isn't too warm so it's a handy one to layer with. I simply tucked it into the culottes and added my pair of Vans to keep everything casual and more importantly comfortable. I threw on my fluffy denim jacket as well for an extra layer of warmth because it's gotten so cold in the past week.
