Back Into The Swing Of Things

Being in college means longer holidays which means it's much harder to get back into the swing of things when you finally return back to work. It's always so weird to switch the onesie and selection box to a lab coat and hours spent in the library but unfortunately it has to be done. I'm going to show ye an outfit I wore to college this week as well as chat a bit about getting back on the bandwagon.

Getting back to college does mean ridiculously early starts in comparison to the Christmas holidays but it does get you back into routine. No more going to sleep at 3am and waking up at 1pm, setting you body clock right again is always a good thing and surely seeing your friends every day again surely outweighs the early starts.
There's always great craic during the semester between the work with all the balls, refreshers and rag week and going out on a random Thursday is a lot easier to manage than it was during the Christmas. You're also back with all the society events and socials, a perfect way to get more involved and meet new people in college.
Yah the early starts, 9am-6pm days and workload can be daunting but think about it at the end of the day I wouldn't have it any other way and am so delighted to be back to college with my buds.

Now for the outfit chat, I went for a really chill and casual outfit today because comfort is key when you have a long day in a lab. I've been living in these straight jeans ever since I got them and they are so comfortable it's unreal. With the jeans I tucked in a simple off white jumper so I'm warm and also I love the mid wash blue and creamy colour together. To tie the look together I threw on my Vans, because once again I'm all about comfort. Some days I love dressing up in college but I keep it casual half the time.
As you can probably tell from the photos my hair got the chop. Last week I needed to get my hair cut and decided to change it up a bit as I was sick of long thick hair and the effort that went into it. I always get my hair done by Sarah in Peter Marks Douglas, I'm always delighted with what she does and I trust her with my life at this stage! It's definitely not short in comparison to others but it's the shortest I've had my hair and I am definitely having to get used to it, any short hair recommendations are definitely appreciated.

So there we go, casual college outfit and a little chat about the possible daunting return to college. I hope you enjoyed your first week back if you're back like me and if you're going back in the next few weeks I hope you enjoy it and it's not as bad as it seems,

  1. Nice post! I love your outfit, it is so casual but has something unique about it. I think no matter what stage you are in in life, it is hard to adjust back to normality after Christmas. It's like jumping into the sea in Ireland, you weren't expecting that and it's so cold but you eventually get used to it.
