What I'm Loving

Today's blogpost is quite a self explanatory one, I'm going to chat about a few of my favourite things that I've been loving and using a lot lately. I'm sharing a few makeup bits, skincare products, and one fashion item that I've been using non-stop the last few weeks.

So the first product is one I got for Christmas from my brothers and every single time I've done my makeup I've used the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette. I've always wanted to give this a go and I have been using loads of warm-toned shades lately so this is definitely the perfect addition to my collection. It has 4 matte shades and 6 shimmer shades. I honestly think I'll get use out of all these shades and for the quality and pigment of the shadows for the price it's fab. I will definitely look into Zoeva as a brand as this is the first product I've tried from them.

I honestly cannot live without this lip balm. I went without it for a few months but I'd have to reapply lip balm every hour because cold weather and braces leaves me with pretty dry lips. The Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm has a slight gritty texture when first applying it until it melts into the lips, it's a matte look which I have never used any lip balm like that so it's perfect under lipsticks. Even though it's more expensive than other lip balms it lasts for ages and is so incredibly worth it.
I have been living in this foundation over the last few weeks, it's the PS Pro Longwear Mineralised Foundation - Porcelain and I'm not 100% if it's still available in Penneys or not. But I know there are new 'My Perfect Colour' foundations that are out and I need to get my hands on one of those asap to try since this is so amazing. This is first of all the perfect colour of my ghost-like skin and when applied with a damp sponge it just creates the most incredible flawless base that I have been using every single evening out over the festive season because it lasts so well and looks like a second skin. If you can get your hands on this I would definitely pick it up and I will let ye know when I try out the new ones to see if they're anything similar.

I mentioned one of these cream eyeshadows in my recent makeup tutorial (which you can see here) and I honestly haven't stopped using this one as a quick everyday eye look. I'm talking about the Nyx Lid Lingerie - New Romance* it has a handy doe foot applicator so I simply swipe it over my lid, blend it out and it stays put for the whole day. It's a gorgeous copper, rose gold shade that has brown undertones so it's incredibly wearable. It's very shimmery and almost wet looking but because of its light colour it is quite subtle and just adds a wash of colour and a sheen to the eyes.
Once again this is another product that was featured in a recent blogpost chatting all about The Ordinary skincare products. When I ran out of my Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum I thought nothing would work as well as that did with my skin but I think I found a dupe, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. This serum has a dropper which is very handy to use and the product itself has quite a runny almost slippy texture that is really easy to apply and spread over the face. It sinks in straight away and moisturises my skin really well without being too heavy or cause any breakouts. I think the only difference between this and the Vichy is that this is more fluid-like where as the Vichy is more of a milky texture. If you want to hear about the other The Ordinary products I tried out you can read the blogspot here

If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat you have definitely seen my Penneys Teddy Bear Coat, I'm absolutely living in it at the moment. I found it before Christmas after seeing it on Michelle and Aoife and at first I wasnt sure because it is quite oversized and I'm really short but I said I'd be glad of it going to my 9ams when I'm back to college. I have gotten so many compliments and questions and it's honestly the warmest thing ever so it is quite practical. You'll probably see me living in this until the weather starts warming up again.
So there we have it, some things I've been loving lately. I'll talk to you next week,
Ailbhe x

  1. Nice post! I really hope the PS Pro Foundation hasn't been discontinued, I love it so much and it doesn't look too dark on me at all. I'll have to go out on the hunt for a new foundation.
