So It's Been Four Years

So it's been four years since this all began. I think ye all know that I'm a real cringey person and I love looking back and reminiscing so of course I had to chat about my fourth blog birthday today. I started The Red Brunette on the 21st of February 2014 and I never thought I would still be doing it and get to where I am four years later.
This past year has brought so many opportunities my way blogging wise; lots of launches and events, I really think things have started going places for me this year. I've collabed with Casanova Gelato, The Zipyard, gone to an Xposé event, Makeup Forever, and Lancome.

I was shortlisted on the Irish Beauty Blog Awards and named one of the top 60 Irish Fashion Bloggers on Feedspot. I have definitely grown a lot numbers wise which is always nice to see when you put so much effort and work into things. Even though I don't think people understand how hard it is to be constantly doing this on top of college and life, it's worth it for all the amazing things that come out of it and I honestly cant imagine my life without blogging.
My first blogger event with Vichy & Xposé
This year was definitely the year of the blogger friends. I've met some incredible people this year because of my blog and some of them I actually can't live without. It's amazing how close you can be to people because ye do the same thing.

As I'm writing this I'm looking back over my birthday blogposts from other years and I've grown up so much in four years but I can see it through my writing and the way I take photos which is mad. I guess this post is kind of for me to look back on in years to come to see how far I have come and how much I've changed over the years.

Whenever I'm asked about the future when it comes to my blog, I honestly have no idea what's going to happen. I definitely don't see it as a full time career because I want to work in a lab and go down the whole science path but I can't imagine me not blogging. Even after all the drama that has been going on the last few months, there are too many positives that block out the negatives.

I definitely have a few exciting things in the pipeline for the near future, some may happen some mightn't but thats always the case with these sort of things. I'd love to invest in a new camera possibly over the summer when I'm working again. I have my eye on the Olympus Pen because the photos Clóda takes of me using that are just insane.

I know this blogspot is definitely very scattered but I guess I just want to say thank you. To Darragh for proofreading every single blogpost, taking photos and generally being a cheerleader. To Clóda for the numerous amazing photoshoots we do around college. To my friends who always support me and put up with me and my blogger gals who keep me motivated like no other. And to ye, who read my blogspots, like my Instagrams and chat to me on Snapchat. I can't even put into words how much I appreciate your support, thank you.
So there we have it, another cheesy post for another year. Here's to another year of The Red Brunette,
